My Story

I feel fortunate that my 28-year career has been spent in the nonprofit arena, with 24 years in Catholic schools. I am a dedicated leader, fundraiser, and marketing expert who has served various education/religious and healthcare organizations.

I have broad experience leading religious schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I have a reputation for cultivating and growing relationships with alumni, foundation officers, corporate leaders, and other constituencies throughout my career. Those very individuals will attest to my personal integrity, highly professional attitude, and record of success.

Over the past thirteen years, I have served as Vice President of Advancement at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, the first Diocesan school in Brooklyn/Queens. Over that span, I have directed several successful capital campaigns and increased major giving by more than 50%. I am proud of my strong record of fundraising achievement, including multiple gifts above $100,000. My focus on planned gifts has led to a dramatic increase in estate plan commitments in recent years.

Before that, I led the Foundation of a national nursing education organization in lower Manhattan for several years. I have also spent time raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association and a small Catholic college in Brooklyn.

Throughout my career, I have written many successful grants, coordinated dozens of special events, recruited board members, managed volunteers, annual fund campaigns, annual reports, alumni magazines, and more.

I currently serve on a fundraising planning committee to establish a new Lasallian College in Kenya. I prepared a report several years ago to open a new intermediary school in Bangladesh.

I earned a B.A. in Public Relations from Xavier University in Ohio (1995), and graduated summa cum laude at Milano, the New School (NYC) with an MA in Nonprofit Management (2012).
I live in Cliffside Park, NJ, with my wife, Kathleen, and twin 5-year-olds Maximilian and Evangeline. I love biking, sports of all sorts, and, most of all, spending time with my family.
